A modern+rustic sink

I was looking for a sink console for our powder room when we moved into our old (new) house...more on that later! The sink console that was installed was much too ornate for my liking so I explored my options and became so disappointed. I knew what I was looking for but everything that I liked was either non-customizable like this one below from Mecox Gardens...this had 2 sinks and I need just one

Or too expensive but gosh so beautiful like this one also from Mecox Gardens. This one could be customized but cost a whopping $6,000...ouch!!  But she is a beauty!
So, I found a kitchen island from Sundance that looked like this made from beautiful reclaimed oak

And had a concrete top made for it and voila...the powder room became one of my favorite rooms in the house. The contrast of a modern element like concrete with rustic wood is probably the most beautiful combination for my eyes (I know not everyone will agree..which is ok!).

Here is another console that I made that will find a place in our new home...pardon the setting as the photo was taken in my garage!

What is your favorite design style? Do you like contrasting styles?

Have a wonderful day,
Paige
